Palm Beach County Commissioner BOB KANJIAN cuts ribbon for Grand Opening of the Boca Riding C.C. - the new 4-H Headquarters of the South Florida Bridle Club !!

THIS WEST BOCA-DELRAY EQUESTRIAN AND MULTI-SPORT CENTER, KICKED OFF ITS GRAND OPENING WITH THE 4-H FALL JACKPOT CLASSIC HORSE JUMP SHOW ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2008.

*******************************************************************************************************************************************

Palm Beach County Commissioner Bob Kanjian, MAQ Qureshi of CCUSA, Melanie Peterson, President of the South Florida 4-H Bridle Club, Sergeant Rick Dempsey, representing Palm Beach County Sheriff, Ric Bradshaw, and BRCC General Manager, Paul Tufts, officially cut the red ribbon to celebrate the GRAND OPENING of BOCA RIDING C.C. (BRCC).

As the new 4-H headquarters for the Palm Beach County 4-H Youth Programs, BRCC offers families and their children all facets of equestrian riding, training and instructional lessons in all riding disciplines. Additionally, the BRCC campus includes six acres of sports field with cross-training in soccer, baseball, cricket and football.

On Saturday, the 4-H FALL JACKPOT CLASSIC HORSE JUMPING SHOW featured horse jumpers from all over South Florida. Eleven jumping events had entrants who ranged from the “beginner” equestrian youngsters all the way to the top professional trainers. JENNIFER DACHTEN won the $500 First Prize check for Junior Amateur Gambler’s Choice Champion. The grueling Trainer Gambler’s Choice Competition was won by Top Trainer, ROBIN DIMETH from Palm City, Florida. Robin had a large smile on her face when she was presented the $1000 First Prize Check !! The Halloween costume contest for horse and kids was exciting for all the children - and horses, too !!!

50 children from Children’s Haven were invited as special guests to come and enjoy the 4-H Horse Show, face painting, pony rides and a scrumptious lunch compliments of the South Florida 4-H Bridle Club. BRCC believes that children learn very important character-building values on the playing fields above and beyond the lessons in the classroom. In addition to the 4-H activities and the traditional equine boarding, lessons, and horse sales, the BRCC will be hosting field trips for home school students, after-school study and sport workshops, as well as therapeutic riding sessions. Cross-training batting cages will help both cricket and baseball players and with the shortage of sports and play fields in the western reaches of Palm Beach County, the BRCC will also be able to help community teams, leagues and chapters of many sports find a place to play.

This full-scale multi-sport and entertainment complex will host sanctioned horse shows, sporting events, as well as top-rated music concerts.
